Pittsburgh has a pretty cool zoo and the weather was WONDERFUL a coulple of weeks ago so we took advantage of a 75 degree October day and went to the zoo. It was Jess's birthday too! This was Peter's first zoo trip!

Sortof. He was enthralled with the nasty pond in the front of the exhibit because there were a couple goldfish. He could have stayed there all day!

I wish I could have gotten his face from the front while he was checking out the elephants. Classic.
The Lion Den. This guy was a vocal one. He roared the whole time! Peter stood on his tippy toes to get a better view!
There is a really neat aquarium inside as well with Polar Bears and Penguins. Peter LOVED the penguins. He was jumping up and down and pointing at them while speaking what I like to call "Peter Chinese"

Oh how I wish these nice days would last all year! I love the pics of Peter with the pumpkins, how fun to see them grow:) So I do have a bike by the way, it is just a mountain bike not a road bike and it is pretty crappy. But it works, so I am totally up for a ride if you find a bike to use! Either way we need to get together, it has been forever!
