She's Here!!!

We are so excited! Brooke Lynn Hays was born on Wednesday, March 17, 2010.
She weighs 7lbs 8 oz and is 20 inches long. Hopefully she likes her St. Patty's Day birthday!

Day 2

A very proud daddy, and a very unsure big brother!

First picture. She came out really fast and got some bruising on her face. It looked much better by the time we got home.

Bryan was quite proud of this picture. All his kids watching March Madness...ahhh. Brooke, you were born on the perfect weekend for your father!

Holy Moly. Thats a belly!

39 weeks pregnant
wow.
I have to say this sucks. Its really been an easy pregnancy but I only went to 38 weeks with Peter. So I am having issues being at week 39. (not that I should be complaining. I know plenty of girls that have to go over their due date. I feel REALLY bad for them.) This baby is gonna be huge. Here is the good news- I am planning on being induced two days from now! YEA! Wish me luck. I have to say that when you have kid #2 and know what labor (and after wards) is like, it makes you stop and think- "why did I do this again???" :) But its worth it and I CAN'T WAIT to meet our little girl!
P.S. Notice Peter in the background. This is his FAVORITE place to play. He finally figured out how to climb and now just plays with all of his trucks at the table. And asks to listen to music on the computer!

Cake Decorating

1st cake2nd Cake

3rd cake

I am proud to say that they did get a little better each week. It was fun class to take. I was not looking forward to making clowns because they seemed really scary and lame in the book. But I think they ended up being my favorite! The roses on the last cake are wicked hard to make. At least I think so. Nicole and I made about 20 roses and only those 5 were decent enough to use. The next cake I make will probably be Peter's birthday cake.

Obnoxious lawns

What month is it? Some people around here have me confused. This is what I saw when I took a walk yesterday...

(even though you can't see the wreath, it says MERRY CHRISTMAS!)

Seriously? An abominable snowman? Out of plywood? Hand painted. Obviously.
Last I checked, it was March 10th. That is 3 months AFTER December. Right?
P.S. I only took pictures of these two because they take the cake...unfortunately there are TONS of other people in Munhall who still think it is December too.

A Cake, belly, and some bball

I am taking a cake decorating class this month. Its a pretty basic class and we are only dealing with buttercream frosting. Here is my first attempt at it. (Its pretty bad!)

I had to take the close up so you can see the 'beauty'.

Not bad from far away though...

The final product! (Disctrict 12 is in honor of the book- The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. Nicole hosted book club this month and we are taking the class together and thought it would be fun to make a celebration cake!) Our food coloring kind of sucked too. Just you wait until next week. We are making really scary clown cakes.

Fake smile?

Week 37 BIG belly!

Pittsburgh Stake Basketball Tourney is in full swing! Our branch has played 2 games to far and am so excited that we are UNDEFEATED! Woo hoo! And Peter LOVES watching his daddy play ball.

The bear hats- Cute huh? (He loves his monkey mittens and bear hat! I love it!)
