I forgot #21. The library sees Bryan more than me.

Its been over 6 months since we moved to Pitt! I thought I would commemorate the end 2009 with a list of happenings since moving across the country.

1. I have been in my first car accident. (Which wasn't my fault)
2. I still think Metal Awnings instead of front porches are a very bad idea.
3. I can keep my house clean! It also really bugs me if it is a mess.
4. I have ran over 350 miles total since arriving in August.
5. I have become a stroller snob and now have 3 strollers.
6. I haven't bought 1 article of clothing for myself in Pitt. (Truly amazing) We won't discuss my trip back to AZ...
7. I still suck at remembering to read my scriptures every day.
8. My "need to do crafts" gene is still missing from my genetic make-up.
9. My "need to spend money" gene is still as strong as ever. I just don't have any to spend!
10. I have discovered that the "missing" crafty gene was overtaken by a combination of the "sports watching" and "running" gene.
11. I actually enjoy cooking .
12. I have only made chocolate chip cookies once. And they turned out gross.
13. I think that lopsided sidewalks are normal.
14. I can actually win card games. But only in PA. Back in AZ during Christmas break I was as sucky as ever.
15. Our car is still running. Miraculously. Sadly, the gas mileage has really gone downhill. (Its from driving uphill!) 13mpg.
16. I really, really have learned to love the sunshine.
17. I broke my nose. When a 4 year old accidentally hit his head on my nose. Ouch. That was during General Conference. It was still swollen a month later!
18. I am still Pregnant. But only 6 weeks to go!!!
19. Most recently, I showed up at the airport for my flight back to PA on the wrong day. Seriously. I am retarded. Luckily it was a day early and not a day late. But that is a story for another post.
20. I haven't drank any soda since June. But only 6 weeks left or so and we will be celebrating a new baby girl with a glass bottle of pure sugary goodness. Hopefully its a Coke imported from Mexico... I don't know if I am more excited for the baby or the Coke! (jk!)

Road Trip!

  • 265 miles one way.
  • 530 total miles.
  • 1 day of driving.
  • 1 Chevy Tahoe.
  • 2 toddlers.
  • 1 preschooler.
  • 2 pregnant women.
  • 2 crazy guys obsessing over their new cell phones.
  • Leaving the great state of Arizona for a place barely worthy of statehood status.
  • All for a sandwich on 99 cent white bread.
  • (I guess I can't forget to mention the meat that goes on it- Rudy's...do you now understand the madness driving this trip?)

I guess its like the MasterCard commercials!

Hanging out with your best friends- Priceless!

(We also visited the Children's Museum in Albuquerque, which was by far the coolest kids place! I think Steve and Bryan may have had more fun than the kids...)

Military Academy Ball

Sounds fancy right? It really was! It is Haley's senior year at the academy and she has been wanting me to go every time, but for some reason or other I couldn't make it until this year. I had a ton of fun and I think Bryan might have enjoyed himself just a little. (but he won't tell you that to your face.) My Uncle J and his female friend came, as well as my parents, and little bro. There was a really fancy dinner, 3 course meal, some lame-o speeches, Haley got recognized for being a senior at the Air Force Academy and then my favorite- Dancing! (I love being at a non-lds dance. People actually dance! And I am sure the alcohol may have had something to do with it!)

Okay, I have to add the cheesiest part before I forget... This was at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Scottsdale, Az. So right after the opening prayer, the waiters all came out with trays and fancy white napkins over their arms and did some sort of choreographed march/exhibition with formations and lines and stuff to the song "Puttin on the Ritz". It was by far one of the cheeziest things I have EVER seen in my entire life. It made my night.

Stike a pose! There's nothing to it! Vouge!

Someone...not to name names...MOM...thought it would be a great idea to take family pictures while we were all back together for the holidays. Our last pictures were in 2002. Okay. 8 years is a while, BUT there have been at least SIX of them that I was NOT pregnant. And she chooses now. So, dum da da dum...Here are a few of our family shots. Notice how I am strategically placed to 'blend in'...

Aren't we attractive???

Again. Great pic, but I shouldn't I be where my mom is??? Hi there big belly.

Look at my boys! Such handsome dudes!

(I do actually really like this picture) No belly, no problem.
In the defense of the photography, there is a family photo where I posed in the back, but that wasn't sent to me yet. Hope you enjoyed.

Christmas

We split Christmas between my family and Bryan's. Christmas Eve we were at my parents. Peter was extremely spoiled in both places! He is just starting to 'get' the whole present thing! It was so fun to watch him open things!

He got trains from Abby and Poba

Okay, what the heck is up with my sister's head? Is that a bag? Or what?

I 'love' preggo pictures. Hot. Bet your belly isn't as large as mine! :)

Not sure what to do with all of this...

Here we are off to the Hays' for Christmas Day!

Bryan's parents- Nana and Grandpa

Bryan and his brother, Chris. Identical twins right?

The favorite new toy. Who says Christmas is expensive? $5.00 at wal-mart. Priceless!

The Christmas post... lots of pictures...lots of presents...lots of family....lots of fun!

Catching up

27 Weeks- Hello 3rd trimester!!! (By the way, I LIVED in these pants the whole time I was in AZ! Thanks Cori for letting me raid your closet!)
"Hockey Stick"
I really think its about time someone took this kid to a hockey game so he can see what it is REALLY like...

One of Pete's favorite pastimes while at my parents house.
1. Pull out the Spice cupboard
2. Move all items to the next row down
3. Close spice cupboard
4. Repeat! (Oh to be a toddler...)

My mom and I at the Arizona Ballet Co production of
"The Nutcracker"

Some of the Stars girls that came too!

Gingerbread Houses

I did not post at all in December! Wow. A whole month! I have a lot of catching up to do. Here are our Gingerbread houses. We had the First Years over for our first annual "Christmas Party" and made a big mess in the kitchen! It was great! The Noah's Arc!

One of the kids'...bring on the candy!

Can you tell this was mine and Bryan's? We were missing AZ. We made the rez hogan, complete with tires on the roof, a truck that was up on blocks and sheep!

McCall and Tannon's classic house. (They made ours look really bad)

So did Kurt and Helena's! Complete with wreaths and a snowman!
