Arizona part Deux

Peter and I got to spend a little quality time away from Jamie and Brooke.  All the highlights had something to do with water.  First we got to go to Lake Roosevelt with the Henlings.  Other than a couple "wild" tubing rides, Peter spent most of the time sitting in Mrs. Henling's lap.  Peter loved it... becuase sitting on her lap meant that I probably wasn't going to do something terrible, like throw him in the water.  Luckily Peter grew to love being in the water more and more as the trip pregressed...
Day 1 of swimming lessons.... Peter didn't want to do much more than hold onto the side.  But by the night before we flew back to Pittsburgh, he was taking full advantage of uncle Chris's pool.

I got to spend 4th of July at the place that sets Winslow apart from the rest of AZ. THE CREEK!!

If you can look past the graffiti, it's quite a picturesque place (as opposed to the "desolate" place that Jamie tries to make it out to be.
Peter even got to go on his first camping trip (thanks to Nana and Grandpa)!  Peter's favorite part by far was the fishing... Not that he was able to catch much with just a weight attached to the line.
On our way up from the lake, we got to see an eagle's nest.
My favorite part was going on a long hike with my Dad to the very tip of a finger-like extension of the rim.

And of course, anytime that Steve and I get together, you know we have to play as much basketball as possible.  Mostly we just played open gym, but we did get to play in the Joseph City 3on3 tournament.... which we won thanks to Cas driving up from Round Valley.
Our trophy..... A wildcat t-shirt (as long as it's not a Holbrook or UofA shirt... I'll wear it)
